"The thing I like about abstract art is that everyone can see something different in it. Any one piece can be a million different things, bring out a million different feelings, remind every separate person about some different experience. That is why I don't name my pieces. I don't want to influence what anyone sees in them. In my opinion what I was thinking when I painted it is not as important as what you see in it and the feelings you have when you experience it. Art should make you feel, make you think. When you look at it, it should take you to another place. It is my practice that the first person who owns the piece should name it so that my feelings and emotions do not cloud the overall feeling of the image. "
